Counting Calories Causes Obesity?
Since 2000 the obesity rate has doubled and so has the cost to treat it.
This strangely correlates with the once a fad, but now entrenched practice of counting calories and don’t almost all obese people count calories? If you are obese or overweight and have been counting calories for years, yet still can’t get thin, shouldn’t you change what you are doing? When society has an entrenched belief in something that is not true, the only change that will happen is with you, because change starts with you.
What's the official dictionary definition of a "calorie" in food? A calorie is defined as the fuel or energy value of food. So, when you decrease the calories in food, you also decrease the nutrition, protein, enzymes and energy along with it! What's left is an extremely nutrition-deficient food that produces little to no energy for your body, and what happens when you have low energy? You can't exercise as much and when you try, you get tired faster. Does this sound familiar?
So, what's a person to do? Instead of focusing on what quantity you are eating, focus instead on the quality of food you are eating at every meal and also avoid caffeine, which are found in green tea and soda; caffeine disrupts your metabolism, so you cannot process and utilize protein to aid in losing weight. For too many years now, counting calories has become the normal, the must-do for anyone wanting to lose weight. But what if this practice of counting calories to lose
weight has been wrong all this time and in fact has helped to cause more obesity? Ask yourself this question and then take action!
